Dobos,  Gábor   jr.

I was born in 1980 in Salgótarján, Hungary. I went to primary- and secondary school in my hometown, Bátonyterenye. In 1999 I continued my studies at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. I have graduated in 2004. I hold an MSc degree in engineering-physics. During my studies I have specialised in material science with special respect to surface physics. As an undergraduate student I received a scholarship from General Electric between 2002 and 2004, to study material science issues in discharge lamps. After graduation GE continued to sponsor my research in form of a three year PhD scholarship. Currently I work at the Department of Atomic Physics at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics as an assistant research fellow.

My primary expertise is surface physics and surface analysis. Besides these, I have participated in the development of several different scientific instruments: I have experience in electron- and ion optics, vacuum technology and in the development of the controller software for the instruments. At the university I give lectures about physics, surface analysis, and light sources.
